Thank you for visiting this web page to learn about the Bible Bookmark. You may have received a Bible or a New Testament with the Bible bookmark. The Bible is made up of 66 books; 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament. In the front of the Bible or New Testament is a table of contents with the books of each testament listed in the order that they appear in the Bible. In the outreach Bibles (and New Testaments) that we give out, on the page after that table of contents is a table of contents with the books listed alphabetically. As you are getting used to reading the Bible, we encourage you to use that table of contents to find the books of the Bible.
This bookmark has ten questions. Each question is followed by a Bible verses. Use the table of contents in the Bible to find the verse and then answer the question. When you see a verse like "Hebrews 9:27" That means it is the book of Hebrews, chapter nine, verse twenty-seven. To find that, first find the book of Hebrews in the table of contents. Then turn to the page that the book of Hebrews is on. Next you will notice that there are large bold numbers in the text. These are the chapter numbers. You will need to jump one or more paragraphs and may even turn the page to find the chapter you are looking for. Once you find the chapter, notice the smaller numbers in the text. Those are the verse numbers. Scan over the text to find the verse number you are looking for. Now read the verse, then answer the question.
Clicking through the pages on this web site will help you by providing you the text of each verse to read and some information about what those verses mean.
